The goal of the “Game Day” event was to showcase modern learning approaches that boost motivation, encourage active learner participation, and foster practical skills by integrating game elements into the educational process.

The program opened with a presentation by Andrea Štefić, who highlighted the benefits of gamification in adult education and introduced the Erasmus+ project GamifiedEd. It was explained how the project focuses on developing modern learning approaches through game elements.
Next, Lucija Bakulić from Techpark Varaždin presented GameSpark Varaždin – a center for gaming industry development – outlining its activities and opportunities for collaboration and gaming project development in the region.
Participants then had the opportunity to learn about the Erasmus+ project InclusiGardens, which resulted in the creation of three digital educational games and one card game. Jana Bračko presented the development process – utilizing “vibe-coding” – and shared insights gained while creating the games.

The highlight of the program was the final segment: playtesting. Participants tried out the developed games and exchanged their impressions. This interactive part of the event demonstrated just how effective games can be in fostering learning, collaboration, and active participation.
Thank you to everyone who attended the presentations, played the games, and contributed to the event’s success with their presence and ideas. We look forward to future meetups and the continued development of innovative educational content!
Stay tuned for updates on the next Game Day, as well as all the latest news regarding the implementation of the GamifiedEd project!
