About the Project and Partnership

Project Overview

GamifiedEd is a two-year Erasmus+ project designed to tackle a pressing challenge in adult education: how to maintain learner motivation in a world of competing priorities. While the benefits of gamification – using game mechanics in non-game contexts – are well-known, many educators find themselves restricted by expensive software subscriptions or a lack of practical training. To bridge this gap, our work concentrates on three key areas: digital literacy, English language learning, and self-motivation skills. We aim to support teachers and trainers by providing them with the concrete skills needed to turn standard lessons into dynamic, engaging experiences that encourage adults to persist in their learning journey.

To achieve these goals, a partnership of four organisations from Croatia, Slovakia, Spain, and Slovenia is developing a suite of high-quality, open educational resources. The main focus of the project is the GamifiedEd Online Platform, an inclusive digital space where educators can create and adjust gamified activities without technical expertise or financial barriers. This is supported by a practical toolkit featuring video tutorials and a digital handbook that guides users through the methodology of game-based teaching. All resources are built to be fully accessible and available in multiple languages, ensuring that every educator and learner, regardless of their background or ability, can benefit from modern, interactive education.

Meet the Gamified Consortium

Pučko otvoreno učilište Čakovec

Project Coordinator

Founded in 1955, this public adult education institution acts as the lead coordinator for the project. Based in Croatia, they provide a wide range of learning opportunities, from formal vocational training and primary adult education to non-formal workshops in ICT and foreign languages. The institution holds Erasmus+ accreditation and has significant experience in managing EU-funded initiatives, particularly those focused on social inclusion and upskilling vulnerable groups such as the Roma national minority. For this project, they oversee the overall management and quality assurance of all activities.
